Within Palazzo Pitti you will be spoilt for choice! The building, which still carries the name of its first buyer, Luca Pitti, used to be the chief residence of the Medici, the Lorraine and the royal family and nowadays includes six museums: Galleria Palatina, Silver Museum, Costume Gallery, Porcelain Museum, Gallery of Modern Art and Carriages Museum.
If you are pleased to, this guided tour may be combined with a visit to the Silver Museum, the Costume Gallery, the Modern Art Gallery… or the Boboli Gardens, the Italian-style garden par excellence.
